Welcome to Viral Thinking, a place for random ideas…

Some may call it scattered thoughts, others think I just drink to much coffee but I enjoy constantly exploring, discovering a new idea and most of all getting others excited about their own ideas. I call it viral thinking.

At Random Links For Business, Branding & Marketing

It’s a warm Sunday morning here and being that I am awake extremely early, I thought that I would catch up on some reading and dig for some business inspiration. It’s a new week ahead and it’s never a bad idea to get yourself in the right mindset to tackle a few new ideas. Below you will find a short list of articles that I found inspirational, helpful and just plain fun to read.

1.Ok this one isn’t really an article it is more of a signup form but what is promised should be quite a good read. Rockable Press by the creators of Freelance Switch is offering a free 20 page ebook on personal branding simply for signing up with their mailing list. These guys are pretty damn smart so I recommend checking it out http://rockablepress.com/the-rockin-list/.

It was minor

I decided that there are other areas on the web that need a bit more help than this particular site so I decided to go with a very minor redesign, in fact you probably don’t even notice. (Or it is possible that you have never been here and it really doesn’t make any difference to you anyway, that’s fine too.) I think the main thing I need to concentrate on is creating content, making you want to come read what I have to say. Besides I like the design, it’s nice clean and simple, makes for easy reading and focuses on the important stuff. Don’t get me wrong I like fancy graphics to but it just doesn’t fit here. Maybe I will add a nice little “gallery of inspiration” just to give it some zing.

Well happy reading!

A Weblog Revival

With the present state of things around here, and by here I mean the part of the world that the news seems to cover most often lately, I think that it is as good a time as any to revive this blog and really get it headed in the right direction. Why? Because it’s gonna take a little Viral Thinking to get us out of this mess and turned back around. I have a lot of ideas on what direction to take with the content, design and overall concept of the blog but I am not 100% positive that any of them are the direction I should choose at this point, so in the fashion of everything else that I tend to do I will get started and let it take shape on it’s own.

The first thing I am considering is a redesign, imagine that? Don’t get …

Starting a Clothing Company

From time to time I get an email asking for my advice on starting a clothing company. Why you might ask, well for those of you that don’t know, I created this little gem. Anyhow back to the point. I also frequent the Young Entrepreneur forums and it seems like about 1 out of every ten questions addresses some sort of clothing company startup related issue. Now in the past I have published several emails and “interviews” regarding how to go about starting a clothing company and the steps I took  because the fact is I love to talk about it. I am far from creating a super successful company, but I have learned quite a bit and made plenty of mistakes along the way. So as I get ready to reel ASONE Clothing back in for a bit and start fresh with a relaunch, plus …

Networking, Advertising and Creating New Business

As I prepare myself to head into my third BNI meeting this morning and kick off my second day as a full time freelancer, I got to thinking about networking, advertising and how to create new business. Lately my Google reader has been working overtime as I scour the internet looking for clues as to how to make it all happen. Granted this is not the first time I have found myself in this very position, but I feel that I have learned from the mistakes of the past and I plan to “do it right” this time around. My freelancing career came a bit earlier than I had planned but the key here is that I did in fact plan and if were not for that I may not be in the position to look at this as a viable opportunity. So on to my thoughts about networking, advertising …
